Dr. Utz Kador
is a German and European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney. As a trained
chemist with particular experience in the polymer field, and as
a chemical engineer, he is mainly engaged in patent matters in these
fields, especially in proceedings before the European Patent Office.
In addition, he deals with applications in the fields of physics,
steel manufacturing, optics and mechanics, as well as with trade
mark cases and license agreements.
Dr. Kador is a member of the Working Committee - Patents - of the
Union of the European Patent Attorneys. For many years, he was secretary
and member of the board of the German Chapter of the Licensing Executives
Society (LES) and international delegate of LES. He has also been
chairman of the trade mark Committee of LES International. Furthermore,
he has been a member of the International trade mark Committee of
the International trade mark Association (INTA) for a number of
years. At present he is a member of the "Community trade mark
Committee" of INTA.
Dr. Kador is fluent in English and also speaks French, Italian and
Spanish. |

Ms. Corinna Probst
(nee Mittwald), born in 1968, studied law at the
University of Munich and joined the firm in 1998. During her legal
internship, she worked at a law firm in San Francisco. Returning
to Germany, she specialized in intellectual property law. Along
with German, European and International trade mark matters, Ms.
Probst handles cases relating to anti counterfeiting and product
piracy including litigation.
Ms. Probst is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of French
and Italian. |

Dr. Bernhard Pillep,
born in 1968, joined Kador & Partner as a Patent Attorney Trainee
in January 1999. He is practising as a German Patent Attorney since
June 2002 and as a European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney since
Summer 2003.
Dr. Pillep studied general and technical chemistry at the Universities
of Regensburg and Karlsruhe. During his dissertation at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University
in Munich he spent several months at the Lawrence Livermore National
Laboratory in California (U.S.A). In 1999 he obtained his doctorate
degree with "summa cum laude". His dissertation dealt
with questions of organometallic chemistry, inorganic solid-state
chemistry, especially in the zeolite field, and physical chemistry.
At Kador & Partner, Dr. Pillep is mainly involved in all kinds
of patent cases, but is also handling trade marks and designs. Dr.
Pillep is fluent in English and French and speaks some Italian and
Spanish. |

Dr. Claus Schindele,
born in 1972, joined the firm in December 2005 as a Patent Attorney
having worked for a well-known law firm. He is German patent attorney
and European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney. Dr.
Schindele studied Chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University
of Munich. In his dissertation, he dealt with the applicability
of allylcations in organic synthesis. He spent several months
at UCLA (Los Angeles, USA) as a visiting scientist.
Dr. Schindele has expert knowledge of organic and pharmaceutical
chemistry, polymer chemistry and physical chemistry. At Kador
& Partner, Dr. Schindele mainly focuses on patent cases. Moreover,
he also handles utility models, trade marks and designs.
Dr. Schindele is fluent in English
and has basic knowledge of Italian.

Stefan Bühling,
born in 1962, joined Kador & Partner in September 2006. He is
German and European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney and practiced
as a Patent Attorney since 1995. Previously he worked for a large
patent attorneys’ office in Munich and communicated with national
and international clients. He acquired special experience in prosecution,
opposition, and appeal before the European Patent Office, the German
Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patent Court.
He also represents our clients in litigation proceedings.
Mr. Bühling graduated as Diplom-Chemiker at the Technical University
of Munich. He continued as scientific assistant at the Technical
University of Munich (Institute for Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry).
There, he acquired special expertise in medical technology, food
chemistry, biotechnology, genetic engineering, molecular biology,
and microbiology. During his University studies Mr. Bühling
acquired further experience in organometallic chemistry and polymer
chemistry as well as pharmaceutical chemistry.
Mr. Bühling obtained practice in industrial property rights
in a US Patent Attorneys' office in Alameda, California.
In our firm Mr. Bühling handles each kind of patent cases and
is further involved in expert opinions, patent clearances and litigation.
He is involved with utility models, trade marks and designs as well.
Mr. Bühling is fluent in English and French, speaks some Spanish
and is acquiring knowledge in Japanese. |

Dr. Antje Monika
Stanjek, born in 1970, joined the firm in March 2004 and
is German Patent Attorney and European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney.
Dr. Stanjek studied chemistry and biology
at the University of Bonn and obtained a degree in chemistry.
Her dissertation at the Universities of Bonn and Karlsruhe dealt
with the chemical and biological process of angiogenesis. Before
joining the firm Dr. Stanjek worked both as a chief scientist
at Dr. Kübler GmbH, an oncological day hospital, and as a
patent and technology transfer manager for the National Genome
Research Network (NGFN) at the Fraunhofer Patent Centre in Munich.
At our firm Dr. Stanjek handles each kind
of patent cases, in particular in the field of biochemistry and
medicine.
She is fluent in English. |

Dr. Kerstin Reitwießner
joined Kador & Partner in October 2006 as a German
patent attorney trainee. She is practising as European Patent and
Trade Mark Attorney since September 2010 and as European Patent
Attorney since October 2010.
Dr. Reitwießner studied chemistry with a focus on biochemistry
at the Technical University of Darmstadt and completed her studies
in 2000 as a graduate engineer with a diploma thesis in the field
of cellular and molecular biology.
In her subsequent dissertation at the Clemens-Schöpf Institute
of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the TU Darmstadt, she dealt
with the molecular mechanism of apoptosis in human endothelial cells
and was awarded a doctorate degree (Dr.-Ing.). She specializes in
biochemistry and in addition to the classical chemical fields has
knowledge in medicine and chemical engineering. In our firm Dr.
Reitwießner handles each kind of patent cases. She is further
involved with utility model, design and trade mark matters.
Dr. Reitwießner is fluent in English and speaks French and
Spanish.

Dr. Laura Fé,
born in 1972, joined Kador & Partner in September 2009 as a
European Patent Attorney, after having worked in various large international
pharmaceutical companies for several years.
Dr. Fé obtained a degree in Physical and Inorganic Chemistry
from the University of Parma, Italy and a PhD from the University
of Leuven, Belgium. Her dissertation dealt with the synthesis
and crystallization behavior of complex metal oxides and their
application in the semiconductor industry.
At Kador & Partner she handles
patent cases in different fields ranging from inorganic chemistry
to pharmaceutical technology.
In addition to her mother tongue
Italian, Dr. Fé is fluent in English, speaks Dutch and
has a basic knowledge of French and German.

Dr. Holger Kämpf,
born in 1977, joined Kador & Partner as a patent attorney trainee
in Mai 2007. He is practising as German Patent Attorney since March
2011 and as European Trade Mark Attorney since April 2011.
Dr. Kämpf studied chemistry with toxicology as minor subject
at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He finished his studies
in 2002 with the diploma. In his diploma thesis he worked on model
complexes for nitrogenases.
His dissertation in the field of inorganic chemistry at the Technical
University of Berlin dealt with the synthesis and characterisation
of Fe(II) spin crossover complexes. He specializes in coordination
chemistry and has, besides the classical chemical fields, knowledge
in polymer chemistry and mechanics. In our firm, Dr. Kämpf
handles all kind of patent cases. Moreover, he is also involved
in matters related to utility models, trade marks and designs.
Dr. Kämpf possesses working knowledge of English and speaks
some French. |

Ms. Astrid Purner,
born in 1972, joined our firm in January 2011 as an attorney at
law in our trademarks department. She studied law at the University
of Innsbruck, Austria and the University of Alcalá de Henares,
Spain. After passing the exam for the recognition of her degree
in Spain at the University of Granada, she worked for the past ten
years for an international law firm in Málaga, Spain. During
these years she was regularly engaged with trade mark matters.
Ms. Purner is fluent in Spanish and
English, has basic knowledge of French and Italian.
Ms. Purner will be our attorney at
law in the new branch in Innsbruck.

Dr. Otto Berngruber,
born 1942, is a chemist and has been admitted as a German and European
patent attorney since 1976. For our office, Dr. Berngruber deals
principally with patent matters in the field of chemistry, biochemistry,
pharmaceutics and mechanics. In addition, he has a long experience
in dealing with trade mark matters.
Dr. Berngruber is fluent in English and speaks some Spanish.

Dolores López
Onrubia, born in 1969, is a qualified Lawyer and admitted
to the Professional Association of Lawyers of Alicante (Ilustre
Colegio Provincial de Abogados de Alicante). At university she specialized
in civil law. Mrs. López looks after our Alicante office.
Apart from her native language Spanish, she possesses working knowledge
of English. |

Barbara Regensburger,
born in 1970, completed her law studies at the University of Innsbruck/Austria
in 1994 and worked as an assistant lecturer. After her studies,
she decided to combine her specialised legal knowledge with some
experience in a free enterprise. Therefore, Ms. Regensburger worked
in the distribution department of a big US pharmaceutical group
in Salzburg and as a project-manager for an architecture firm at
Lake Constance. Additionally, she participated in several training
courses at the German Chamber of Commerce on project management
and human resource management. Ms.
Regensburger joined the group in October 2001 and specialised
in German, European and International trade mark matters.
She is fluent in English and speaks some Dutch and Italian.

Silke Bachetzki,
born in 1964, studied Spanish and English languages at Leipzig University.
After completing her studies in 1986, she was employed as a translator
at an internationally operating company, which specialized in refrigeration
technology.
Ms. Bachetzki came to Munich in September 1989 and started working
at a patent attorneys office. She joined the firm in October 1991
and took over the position of office manager at the beginning of
1993.

Dr. Alexander Racz,
born in 1977, joined Kador & Partner in June 2008 as a Patent
Attorney Trainee. Alexander Racz studied
chemistry with focus on physical chemistry at the University of
Vienna. He passed his study with distinction in 2004. His diploma
thesis „Electrochemical Oxidation of Substituted Pyridinium
Compounds“ was related to the field of electrochemistry
and received an award from the Austrian Chemical Society (GÖCH).
In his dissertation at the Department of
Physics of the Technical University of Munich he worked on the
synthesis and characterisation of platinum and rutheniumselenide
catalysts for the cathodic reduction of oxygen in fuel cells.
Alexander Racz is fluent in English
and speaks French.

Dr. Karoline
Bopp, born in 1978, joined Kador & Partner as a Patent
Attorney Trainee in August 2008. Dr.
Bopp studied biology with focus on biochemistry, genetics and
developmental biology at Technical University of Darmstadt and
finished in 2004 with her diploma. She prepared her diploma thesis
at Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, working in the field
of molecular cell biology.
Her dissertation at the Department of Molecular
Structural Biology of the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry
dealt with the in vitro expression and functional analysis of
protein complexes for their subsequent structure determination
in a close to native state by means of cryo-electron tomography.
Dr. Bopp is fluent in English and
speaks some French.

Lydia Lilli Neumann,
born 1976, joined Kador & Partner as a Patent Attorney Trainee
in January 2011.
She studied biology at Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich. Her
main focus was on genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and
physical chemistry. Ms. Neumann graduated in 2002 with a Diploma
in Biology. For her diploma thesis Ms. Neumann spent one year in
Great Britain at the Sainsbury Laboratory in Norwich. During this
time she worked on immunity and disease resistance in plants.
For the practical part of her doctorate Lydia Neumann came back
to Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, this time to the Institute
for Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine. She worked on tumor biology,
specifically examining gene regulation of proteins associated with
human melanoma. The written part of the dissertation is not yet
completed.
Ms. Neumann is fluent in English. |

Dr. Sebastian Siebenhaar,
born in 1981, joined Kador & Partner as a Patent Attorney Trainee
in May 2011. Dr. Siebenhaar studied biochemistry at the
University of Bayreuth focusing on bioorganic chemistry, macromolecular
chemistry, genetics and microbiology. He finished his studies
in 2006 with his diploma thesis on the recombinant preparation
of protein thioesters.
His dissertation at the Department of Bioorganic Chemistry at
the University of Bayreuth dealt with the heterologous expression
and chemical modification of protein fragments and with the semisynthesis
of uniform glycoproteins by native chemical ligation. His doctorate
was awarded “summa cum laude”.
Dr. Siebenhaar is fluent in English and speaks fair French. |

Neubert, has a university degree in chemistry and assists
the firm mainly in chemical and chemical engineering cases and all
